Welcome to the Ziimeo Foundation
The Ziimeo Foundation is the charitable body established by Ziimeo Group to manage the monetary contributions allocated from the annual profits of the group and donations contributed by it’s members.
The aim if the Ziimeo Foundation is to raise funds to donate to charitable organizations in all parts of the world. Our aim is to put back into communities that are very popular with our members, the traveling community and tourists alike but don’t necessarily have the economic or health standards of the more privileged economic communities from where many of our members come. Over time, our aim is to be in a position to make significant contributions to very worthy recipients across many communities around our beautiful World.

We welcome suggestions from our members and users on worthy recipients of our annual donations. If you have a favourite charity that you believe will meet the spirit of the Ziimeo community, then please Contact Us here.
Inaugural Charity of Choice for 2011/12
The charity selected by The Ziimeo Foundation management to contribute to in 2011/12 is the “Bali Eye” Project, run by The John Fawcett Foundation (Yayasan Kemanusiaan Indonesia). They do wonderful life changing work in Indonesia. We believe there is no more worthy recipient than the “Bali Eye” Project, based in Bali, Indonesia. Bali is a world renounced tourist mecca with nearly 2.5 million tourist arrival each year. Tourism is Bali’s life blood! However, Bali’s population is predominantly poor who suffer from a sub-standard health services system and who need our community’s help.
What Does The John Fawcett Foundation Do?
The John Fawcett Foundation is an
Australian-registered and incorporated organization, which works in Indonesia under the auspices of its Indonesian action arm, the Yayasan Kemanusiaan Indonesia (YKI). YKI receives Indonesia-wide recognition for its successful humanitarian programs, which are conducted in cooperation with Provincial and District Governments. The programs target people who are economically disadvantaged and all services are provided free of charge.
The Foundation grew out of a number of Rotary projects established by its namesake, John Fawcett, in Bali, and is best known for its Sight Restoration and Blindness Prevention Project, incorporating the Mobile Eye Clinic for Cataract Surgery.
But The John Fawcett Foundation is committed to more than sight restoration. Other projects include Children’s Corrective Surgery, Education Assistance, Assistance to Desperately Ill Children and Young People, and Prosthetic Eyes.
The Foundation’s success since the beginning of its involvement in Indonesia has been dependent on the work of a large number of very dedicated volunteers who freely give their time. These include logistics people in Australia who organize medical equipment and supplies, medical personnel who come to Bali and teach local doctors and medical staff in new surgical techniques, those who help to raise funds, and numerous others.
The Foundation funds its activities through donations from individuals, businesses and organizations. It also, raises funds from the sale of books, DVD’s, gift cards and other services.
The John Fawcett Foundation is a wonderful organization to donate to because they do so much wonderful work in helping the economically underprivileged peoples of Indonesia.
Please Donate Today to Help our Indonesian friends who are Suffering from Blindness and other Debilitating Diseases.
